In order to shorten the amount of time setting up your Handle dashboard, these are done at the same time.

You’ll only be able to activate the credit and finance report if you are a director of the business. That’s because some of the information we are providing back to you is private in nature. Because of that, we need to collect some personal information from you and run some security checks, to ensure you are who you say you are before we present you with the data.

The first thing we need to do is get your date of birth and your home address.

You can use the lookup to find the address, but you can also type it up manually if you need to. We’ll also ask you the date you moved in. This is to check that we have a sufficient amount of address history on you. If you recently moved within the last couple of years, we’ll need you to provide an additional address, so that we can run the verification checks we need to carry out this stage.
Once you’ve entered that information, click continue at the bottom of the screen.

We’ll then ask you a series of security questions that only you will know the answer to.

This will be a series of 3 to 6 questions depending on how many of them you get correct in a sequence. This is a similar standard of security that you would expect to see from your online banking when you are accessing your account. These questions will be related to things like mortgages, direct debits, the amounts and timing of those. So the first question is linked to the mortgage provider.

Once you’ve selected the right answer click continue and you’ll be presented with another set of questions. This will continue until you’ve answered sufficiently.

In terms of setup this is by far the most involved process that we carry out within Handle and certainly takes the longest amount of time. However, it’s very important that we validate and verify, that you are exactly who you say you are before we share the data with you. Once you’ve answered enough questions you'll click submit your answers. And in the background, we’ll carry out verification of the answers you’ve provided against the data that’s held.

Once you’ve been notified that you’ve successfully answered the questions, click the button here and you can go back to your dashboard.
